Norton Healthcare is Louisville's largest healthcare system, and their new Brownsboro facility is the first full-service hospital to open in the area in more than 20 years. The five-story, 298,000 square-foot facility features the latest in healthcare technology and an innovative patient and family-centered care model that promotes comfort, convenience and healing.

The $146 million community hospital has 127 beds and 600 employees, including 500 medical staff members. The 24/7 emergency department has 22 private treatment rooms, 8 operating rooms and a 16-bed critical care unit. Messer Construction Company, the project's general contractor, turned to ProCLAD to engineer and execute the metal exterior façade.

Karlsberger Architecture detailed a variety of metal panels when designing the hospital. Three different single-element, horizontal profile metal panels were used in conjunction with 2" vertical and 3" horizontal insulated metal panels. The end wall of the elevator tower is clad in Oyster-color curved composite metal panels in contrast with adjacent panels of Antique Bronze.

ProCLAD supplied 58,000 square feet of Metl-Span's CF Architectural Flat 2" and 3" insulated wall panels, as well as Morin Corporation profile metal panels, Sobotec composite metal panels and Ruskin louvers.
