The 45th IKEA store in the United States is set to open as scheduled this Fall in Fishers, Indiana. Costing $40 million dollars, the 289,000-square foot building is geared up to be one of the retailer's first locations with all LED lighting. Even more notably however, it will be powered by nearly 4,000 solar panels that will be housed on the roof of the structure. Sitting just off of I-69 on 35 acres of land, the Swedish furniture store addition will have around 50 full-size room settings all on just one floor.

ProCLAD, Inc has provided the famous blue and yellow IKEA panels for the chain's Fishers location. The store's building design will be fully comprised of approximately 80,000-square feet of insulated metal panels that will give the facility that quintessential IKEA appearance. The metal panels being supplied by ProCLAD include the blue panels that will wrap the entirety of the outer shell, as well as metal roof panels that will be displayed on the structure's canopies. Pepper Construction was chosen to manage the site with over 500 field employees helping to complete development by late 2017. This will be the very first IKEA to open in Indiana.
